Alaska Airlines to fly nonstop to Honolulu in November

Alaska Airlines, a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group Inc., begins flying daily nonstop to Honolulu out of Lindbergh Field Nov. 17 to complement its existing daily nonstop service to Maui, which was launched in October, the Seattle-based airline said July 19.

To boost interest, the airline is offering introductory one-way tickets for $149 that must be purchased by July 25 for travel from Nov. 17 to Dec. 15. Alaska is also offering discounted tickets with a three-night hotel stay, and joining with several local radio stations to promote the new route.

The flight will depart San Diego at 9:15 a.m. and arrive at 1:15 p.m., and returns daily leaving at 3:40 p.m. and arriving at Lindbergh at 11:15 p.m.

Hawaiian Airlines is the only other airline serving Hawaii out of Lindbergh Field, according to a spokeswoman for the airport.
