Bombardier Aerospace Touches Down at AIREX 2012
Bombardier Aerospace, the world’s third largest civil aircraft manufacturer, will present three of its business jets at the ninth annual International Civil Aviation and Airports Exhibition, AIREX 2012, in Istanbul, Turkey, from September 6–9, 2012. The company will also showcase its innovative commercial aircraft products at its booth in Exhibit Hall 1.
Highlights for the static display will be the Learjet 60 XR, Challenger 605 and Global 6000 jets. The industry leading Bombardier Vision flight deck will be on full display aboard the Global 6000 aircraft.
“The Middle East and Turkey’s appetite for business aviation is continuing to expand as more businesses start to embrace the true value of corporate aviation,” said Khader Mattar, Regional Vice President, Sales, Middle East, Africa and India, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “The region is forecast to take delivery of some 1,185 business jets over the next 20 years, and we are excited to display our class-leading jets in Turkey. Our Global 6000 aircraft is undisputable as the perfect choice for long-range, high-speed and superior comfort. Featuring the peerless Bombardier Vision flight deck and a stand-up shower, we know this jet will excite visitors with the possibilities that it offers them,” he added.
“As we look to expand Bombardier’s global reach beyond our traditional markets, we are pleased to showcase our diverse portfolio of commercial aircraft for the 60- to 149-seat market at AIREX 2012,” stated Steven Aliment, Vice President, Sales, Europe, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. “Bombardier commercial airliners have among the lowest operating costs in their class and meet the most stringent environmental regulations. These aircraft families are simply unbeatable.”
“Turkey, as a gateway to both the Middle East and Europe, has the potential to be a breakout market for Bombardier,” added Raphael Haddad, Vice President, Sales, Middle East and Africa, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft. “We look forward to continually providing innovative air transport solutions to customers in the region, and adding to the fleet of more than 780 Bombardier Q-Series, CRJ and CSeries airliners that are already serving, or have been ordered by airlines and special mission operators across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Russia and the CIS.”
Bombardier Commercial Aircraft offers three distinct families of turboprop and jet airliners, each optimized for the markets they serve. These include the Q400 NextGen turboprop airliner that combines jet-like performance with much lower operating costs; the CRJ NextGen regional jets − the world’s most successful family of regional aircraft; and the all-new, state-of-the-art CSeries mainline jetliners that will provide widebody passenger comfort in single-aisle aircraft for the 100- to 149-seat market segment.
