Bombardier Committed to Continuing Safety Education in Latin America with Bigger and Better Safety Standdown

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that an expanded Safety Standdown Latin America will return to Brazil in conjunction with the ninth annual Latin American Business Aviation Conference and Exhibition (LABACE). The highly acclaimed two-day seminar will take place August 13-14, at the Grand Hyatt São Paulo Hotel.

In its third year in Latin America, Safety Standdown will expand from last year’s single-day general session to include a half day of workshops designed to give attendees an opportunity to gain further knowledge, in a small classroom setting, on topics not covered in the general session.

This year’s Latin America edition of Safety Standdown will feature internationally esteemed presenters that include: Captain Gene Cernan, United States Navy (ret.), Commander, Apollo 17, Guest Speaker; Dr. Tony Kern, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner, Convergent Performance, LLC, on safety culture; Glenn Harmon, Associate Professor, Aeronautical Science, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, on combating fatigue issues; Paul “BJ” Ransbury, President, Aviation Performance Solutions, on aircraft handling in terms of upset recovery and avoidance techniques; Captain Rick Rowe, Manager, Safety Standdown, Bombardier Aerospace, on human error; Pat Daily, Executive Vice President, Convergent Performance, LLC, on stress management; and Dr. Dan Boedigheimer, Consultant, Convergent Performance, LLC, on aircraft performance.
